Mesele worked as a driver, while Mulumebet stayed home, taking care of their children. The household faced economic limitations and had no stable source of income beyond the husband\u2019s earnings. She initially accessed a loan of 10,000 birr, which she and her husband used to launch a small petty trade business. Demonstrating strong commitment and financial discipline, the couple steadily grew their enterprise and advanced through successive loan cycles. By the 7th loan cycle, Mulumebet qualified for an individual loan of 100,000 birr. This grew to 200,000 birr in the 8th cycle, and further increased to 600,000 birr in the 9th cycle, reflecting their remarkable business growth and creditworthiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">With increased access to finance through VisionFund, the couple successfully diversified their income streams across three thriving businesses. Their poultry farm, which started with just a few hens, has now grown to more than 1,000, generating a monthly income of 60,000 birr and a current capital of 500,000 birr.Their dairy farm has expanded to five cows valued at 2.5 million birr, yielding monthly sales between 80,000 and 100,000 birr, with a net income of 60,000 birr. Most recently, they launched a mini-restaurant with a 100,000 birr investment, which has already created two new jobs and shows strong potential.
